Pulse — Disappear on your own terms.
Two Pulse devices floating above dark rock
Your safety. Always with you.

Stay Connected.Stay Protected.

A pair of pods that quietly tell one person you're okay. One ring of light — no map, no history, no account.

Status Ring

One ring of light. Silent, and readable at a glance.

Silent Haptics

Private alerts on the skin. No screen, no sound.

10-Day Battery

Up to 10 days of runtime on a single charge.

IP67 Weatherproof

Rain, sweat and river crossings. Sealed shut.

Offline-first presence & safety devices

Disappears on your own terms.

A private way to prove you're okay without being watched.

The abstract state we share

Something's off. Checking in.

Distress

Strong evidence of trouble.

The device

One pod. Two people.

A small, weatherproof pod that lives on a strap, a collar, or a pocket. No screen, no buttons to fumble — just a quiet ring of light.

Sensing

Motion + rhythm, read on-device.

A 6-axis IMU and PPG sensor read movement and rhythm continuously. Nothing leaves the device to be processed — it's inferred right here.

Inference

An abstract state, not your data.

An on-device model turns raw signal into one of four states — Safe, Uncertain, Distress, Link Lost — and nothing more specific ever exists.

Under the hood

Every part, built to disappear.

Secure element for keys, encrypted low-power BLE for the handoff, a silent haptic engine, and up to 10 days on a single charge.

Inside the pod

Eight parts. None of them a camera, a microphone, or a radio that reaches a tower.

Everything the diagram labels, in text you can actually read — and that a screen reader can too.

Motion + rhythm sensors

A 6-axis IMU and a PPG sensor, sampling continuously.

Secure element

Stores the encryption keys. No data out.

Status ring

Silent, glanceable state indicator.

Battery

Up to 10 days on a single charge.

Secure pairing

One-time pairing. Unpair anytime. No account.

On-device inference

The model runs locally to determine the abstract state.

Encrypted radio

Ultra-low-power BLE. Encrypted abstract state only.

Haptic engine

Private, silent alerts. No screen. No sound.

Safe

Continuous link, expected pattern. All good.

Uncertain

Degraded link, ambiguous signal. Checking in.

Distress

Strong evidence of an abnormal pattern.

Link Lost

Out of range — not treated as danger.

On the ridge

When the signal ends, the link doesn't.

No tower, no satellite, no check-in to remember. Just a ring on a strap, twenty metres back, saying: still here.

For the ones who show up for each other.

Why Pulse

Built to never become what it protects against.

Every design decision optimizes for consent, not surveillance.

Consent-Safe by Design

Either side can leave, anytime. No explanation required.

No history, ever

Live-only state, nothing to replay as "evidence".

Fully symmetric

No monitor, no monitored. Just two equals.

No location, ever

Even under pressure from one side. We never share it.

Presence, not surveillance

The presence device that can't be turned into a leash.
